| Thallus off-white, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, black, semi-immersed to sessile, thin, sinuous, simple or branched, sometimes clustered, 1–3 (–4) mm long, 0.10–15 mm wide; lips closed or becoming slightly open. Proper exciple completely or almost completely carbonised. Hymenium 100–120 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, transversely 8–12-locular, 30–44 × (7–) 8–10 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |

| Corticolous in south-western W.A., northern N.T., eastern Qld and N.S.W.; also in Central and South America, Indonesia, Singapore, New Caledonia and Vanuatu. | ||
